cos blogger is easier to upload and post photos to than the usual FTP and HTML nonsense I'd have to go through otherwise :D Hope you enjoy. These are my PICSHURS from my trip to San Diego/Carlsbad for the Illustrators of the Future award. These are taken by my dad or me~
The hotel outside~ which is right across from the beach! It was a wonderful little hotel, very clean and SO providing! Free cookies 24 hours a day!
Overlooking the beach *_* There were cliffs over all the beach so you either had to walk about half a mile to get to flat ground or climb down the cliffside to get to the beach.

the ocean *_* i have never been to the oceanside before this so it was a wonderful treat. The ocean is GORGEOUS and this is the Pacific ocean of course which didn't smell bad at all though it tastes terrible.

HAY LOOK I KNOW THESE GIZE! More illustrators, who are all AMAZING people. Left to right: Tamara, from Halifax, Canada; Melanie from Perth, Australia; MEEEEEEE OMG; James from Chicago; and Kim from Boone :D I roomed with Kim on my stay there. This is on the patio eating lunch which was served to us~
Eldar, who is from Uzbekistan, and Olga, who is from Kiev, Ukraine. Olga did NOT like her picture being taken, which is a same because she is such a beautiful woman. I love her style so much. She is also very talented. Eldar was the gold award winner for the Illustrators! :D
THE STAGE for the gala ceremony thing. Ok, the large photo of L. Ron Hubbard looking like a pedophile IS really creepy but it made for many good jokes about him looking DOWN ON THE PEONS DISAPPROVINGLY!

I hope you enjoyed~ Looking at the pictures makes me feel all depressed and yet really warm and fuzzy at the same time. I miss my new friends and I miss the lovely weather and the beach and all, but all the same I get a very nice feeling from having done this.
I will also have sketches at... some point or another in the future, I have found the love of a moleskine sketchbook + micron pen *_* sketchy sketchy~

What a beautiful seaside! Looking at these makes me miss the ocean, I've only been to it twice in my life (both being the mediterranean, the Adria and Costa Brava). Am I the only one who likes the taste of saltwater? Maybe the pacific tastes different xD
